Going through hardships at home with his wife Michelle, Shelby Forsythe is determined to show her that he is capable of improving. One of his plans includes getting a new job as a firefighter. However, it isn’t easy being the only black in an all-white firehouse, with everyone doing everything possible to turn him out. Determination, as well as dedication to saving lives of others, keep him going. Somehow, through sheer hard work and courage, he is able to overcome racial prejudice and hatred, and earn the respect and friendship of the other men. An inspiring story!
