My Mother bought this cookbook for me in the 80's. Inside were a ton of recipes from the ladies of my Grandmother's church. Good, old fashioned, southern recipes that have been handed down through the family for generations. Some may be modern for the time period when it was published but most are family heirlooms. My grandmother, herself, had plenty of recipes in this book. It is a cherished part of my recipe collection because it contains a piece of my grandmother. This recipe comes from that collection.
