the question was asked..Did you make these...I know about working with Abalone and MOP...but just wanted to know if these are original works, in terms of shaping the pieces and so forth...

Thanks for the question, no I did not cut or make the pin. I bent the wires for the bracelet and added the MOP that I bought from a supplier that I work with. I do set a lot of gemstones etc.. in things I make in Copper/silver but I am not talented enough (yet) to completely make the whole Piece. There are only a few pieces that I make all of it. I hope that clear it up my answer.

Well the Shells themselves were made by living organisms or creatures "Nacre" LOL but I did put this set together. MOP is one of the hardest substances and not so easy to work with , but beautiful.

Char, to answer your question I love the MOP because of its fascinating color display! In fact I just bought a large 2" piece last weekend at my local bead store and did a "faux wire wrap" by crocheting a web over it with metallic thread! MOP is just addictive to me! Beautiful set here, hope people go crazy bidding! You do gorgeous work! if I weren't on a "free shipping diet," this set would be mine!
