Chia takes 5-6 months from sowing to harvesting. In Kansas, I plant outdoors in April or May to harvest in October. They grow tall and are easy to grow with no pest of disease issues. Besides eating the seeds, chia can be used as micro greens or tea.

I don't like to be stuck with a small window for growing, so I plant my chia in my greenhouse.
