Jacob is a gay moron, who the hell cares that you can spend $150 for a lifetime? $20/year is a good deal for something you won't be stuck with for more than a year. Never heard of Ooma, can anyone guarantee this no-name company will even exist after the 7.5 years it will take for you to break even vs. a Magic Jack? By then cell phone service might be cheaper, and you might feel like a dumbass for buying 10 years of service all at once.

Everyone who has spent time trashing matt for offering something everyone already likes and uses is a loser. Sorry you couldn't afford a Magic Jack.
