really cool old pipe. not sure of its age but it was my grandfathers and he died at the age of 87 10 years ago.

The bowl is likely Meerschaum a Turkish soft stone. Lovely pipe, is it signed anywhere?

Some meerschaum pipes are wood and lined with the stone. My husband has two of them one made by Barling. They are called meerschaum lined. However it could be either or?

yes, the body for the pipe is made of wood, and the bowl is white, and because I know nothing about pipes, the finish on the bowl looked to me like porcelain but since you mention this could be stone, yes! It does look like some kind of white stone.. Now I am getting excited for you to win the bid so we can see what it really is. lol

I don't believe this is a Meerschaum. Their bowls are typically white and made of sepiolite, not wood.

This bowl is not wood. it is white . it is just very dirty friom being smoked in alot.
