This heirloom carrot is small, round and filled with flavor. The shape of Parisienne carrot makes it easy to grow even in heavy soil. The small orange globe shaped roots are very tender - they are superb lightly steamed - and are very popular in France (though this variety is believed to have originated in Afghanistan).
This little carrot is great for home and market gardens, as it is fairly uniform in size and shape (besides being incredibly cute).
Easy to grow even in heavy soils (though it prefers loamy soil). Parisienne grows to a height of approximately 6 inches. It is a very hardy variety, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions

Early sowings can be made 2-3 weeks before spring’s last frost date. May be sown throughout spring and summer at 2-3 week intervals, until about a month before first frost in autumn...so for many of us it's not too late for fresh garden carrots -- imagine them on your Thanksgiving table!
