Description
The listing, 1863 Rare 10 Cent Note! Indian Head and 1943 Steel Lincoln Penny has ended.
Authorized by the Act of March 3rd, 1863. Here you have a very rare and beautiful.... 10 Cent American Bank Note. From the Civil War Era.
Small compared to a Dollar Note, but can you imagine what you could buy for 10 Cents back in 1863. I know a good horse or donkey would bring a lot. Missouri Mules were a premium!
Yep these are just like a dollar only about 1/3 of the size. Enclosed in a plastic case to preserve as it is now very fragile. Also included is a much more common 1863 Indian Head Cent and an 1943 Steel War Penny, (from another war and another time).
F&W will you be reposting the cat pic! Poor Kitty but so cute your daughter did that! Brings back memories! And as I recall some painful ones! Kitty will only put up with sooo much!
yeag she has got alot bigger now and does not like the clothes thing but is the best cat ever she followd my daughter everywhere and crys when she is at school but yeah she is way to big for the dress up now but loves my daughter ...i may post some of the others up we had taken a bit back if i can find the darn cam we used ...lol
Sometimes called postal currency... Because it evolved from stamps.. Because everyone was hoarding all the coins as the war grew. This is what I have heard. My question is what coins were being hoarded? The indian head cent like the one that is also in auction??
