The listing, ipod touch has ended.

**PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING**** This is an 8gb ipod touch. The screen is broken at the top, but as you can see it still turns on. This will probably need to be restored, I don't know anything about ipods so I cant tell you what version it is or anything except its white on the front, silver on the back, it is very thin. Again, the screen is broken at the top, see pictures! This does turn on and work fine though. I will pack in bubble wrap and padded envelope. Also does come with USB cord. Thanks and happy bidding!

Other then the screen being cracked its in great shape. I have been told that is an easy fix, compared to the price of a new one. You can get the new screens on ebay for cheap and do it yourself if you know how. Great ipod for someone who uses it. It just sits in my drawer. :)

I went to the Apple Store and ask about replacing the screen. Well they told me for $99.00 they replace the old broken screen Ipod Touch for a new 4th Generation Ipod Touch one. Craigslist user Ipod Repair guy charges $60.00 to replace screen. So it's still good deal! for who ever gets it Free in Listia :)

Your absolutely right! It doesn't hurt to try. :-) that YouTube video tells you to. Use that 3m tape that the kits come with (because that's all that's needed) but this guy says to use super glue as well. I was just about rolling on the floor laughing when I saw that. I'll say this, if anyone is to repair it on their own, take your time and check out websites like www.icracked.com they have detailed instructions but follow them to a "T"! And also, Good Luck and you two have a very nice auction here! :-)

I have to say this, if you've never worked on an iPod or better yet, if you don't know how to install hardware into a desktop PC and your not very tech savvy, I would recommend having a professional install the screens. I've seen so many people bring me their iPods to repair because they've tried to do an lcd and digitizer replacement on their 4th gen iPods on their own, watching some random youtube video, and they end up not doing it correctly...corrupting the software...cause more damage to the very delicate parts on the logic board, and they end up thinking Heyerdahl done it right and have it all together but they turn it on and nothing happens, or they turn it on and the screen won't do anything but stay white. You have to have at least some knowledge before attempting this repair on your own. I saw one video on YouTube, on how to fix a broken iPod touch screen, and that guy tells the viewers to use super glue to hold the screen down! That has to be the most stupid thing to do! How do you take it apart after its been super glued down! Lol!!!

i dont mind helping i wont have enough credits i helped support a friend who i love sending credits to being so so epic, ill catch the next ipod auction im sure many to come on here. :) but it so cheap to fix things on each others own then going to apply appl actually charges over 100$ to swap screens lmao cell shops charge liek 60$ usign 10-20$ screens so like to give repairers a heads up speically ppl attempting their first fix ect.. :P fanned also :P

What the...? Maybe I missed you saying anything but, how did this happen? Whatever it was, did it mess up the inside? Water damage? Most of all, is the camera and sound intact? You think you can take a pic connected to wifi, with Listia.Com on the screen? If all those things work well, it just needs new housing. Are you giving it away cause, it doesn't work? Thanks :)

It works great. All it needs is new glass. It just got shattered and the pieces of the glass came out on the one corner. I don't ever use it, and never really had any use for it. I will take a picture of it connected to listia.com and post in a little bit. Honestly I could have replaced the glass for $10 and sold it for a lot of money, but I love listia so I was hoping to get a bunch of credits out of it cause I don't ever use it.

Are you certain that this is an 8gb? From the close up posture of the back side of the iPod it's a little blurry but it appears to say 16gb. Also, in the top corner where the portion oh the screen is cracked and missing I don't see the copper flat cable that is screwed down to the screw that is seen in the photo, with that said, does this iPod connect to the Internet? That flat copper cable behind the screen screwed down by the screw thats seen in the photo is the ipods wifi antenna. That's why I ask if the wifi can connect to an Internet connection and does it have a good wifi connection.

Yes it goes past that to a screen that says it's locked from my daughter playing with it. It just needs to be plugged into computer and software restored. I read the directions online, but I have a new one so I haven't taken the time to do it. The new owner can set it up thru iTunes and set it up as their own.
