Description

The listing, Kalanchoe, Mother Of Thousand Plantlets has ended.

This auction is for 10 Mother Of Thousand plantlets. I'm not sure of the exact variety of this Kalanchoe, as I won it here on Listia :)
I do know that it produces LOTS of babies, and is easy to grow.
Photos are of my Mother plant.

Thanks for looking!

This one is considered an alligator kalanchoe because of the long leaves and the stripes underneath the leaves. This seller is 1000% recommended, her plants are very healthy, you will not be disappointed!

This is quite the interesting looking plant! What happens if I didnt pull the plantlets off, would it grow fuller? Or would they fall off?

The plantlets fall off after a while, and will start growing in the "mother's" pot, or in any neighboring pot they can land in, and immediately take root and start growing. I am forever plucking them out of my other houseplants and potting them up in a pot of their own. This can be avoided by either removing the plantlets from the mother plant as they form, or keeping them several inches away from your other plants. I don't mind it, though, because it gives me ALOT of plants to give away! I know it's a rather scrawny looking plant, but I love it because it's so unique : )

They like bright light. I keep mine in a sunny window, until they grow too tall, then I move them to my sunroom. Thanks for your interest : )

By plantlets do you mean baby plants & how big are the ones you will send?
Sep 14th, 2013 at 6:44:48 PM PDT by

Plantlets are the small "baby" plants that form on the leaves of the mother plant. I usually take them off the plant at the time of shipping,so they will be small, but most will be forming roots. When these plantlets are placed on top of soil, they start growing very quickly.

Thank YOU for being interested enough to ask : ) I try to describe my plants as best I can in my auction descriptions, but I inevitably forget something, so I'm happy to answer questions. If you want to know something about them, then others are probaby wondering the same thing! Thank you again, and I fanned you back : )
