Description

The listing, THE Ultra Road Whiz has ended.

NO, it is not the rest stop pause so appreciated by the regular, long distance traveler. This is a mini-directory of National Interstate Highway Services and Directories. It has some exceptional features: Enter the State, the Highway Route # (just scroll through and punch in the right one), direction of travel and mile marker, enter your speed and it will calculate time and distance to ‘services’ you ask for in 7,000 cities along the Interstate Highway network – such as food, motel, gas, diesel, rest area, town, hospital – etc. for the entire US. It will even give you the phone number for local roadside help. Requires 3 #386 Lithium batteries, commonly available. Upgrades are available on a regular basis for a nominal fee. Comes with instructions. An amazing little device. Shipping (US) $5 - Paypal, $, check, or M.O. is OK

I checked the website but it hasn't been updated since 2005 and I can't find anything that talks about where/how/cost to upgrade. Do you have any info on that? Thank you.

The instruction booklet (included) provides and address and telephone number for upgrades - there is no visible connection port on the instrument - must be internal and has to be sent in for upgrades.
