Description

The listing, Blue Öyster Cult: Fire of Unknown Origin (cd) has ended.

Classic BOC album, the last one to include the entire original line up, not counting 1988's Imaginos, which had all the guys, but wasn't done with all of them in the same studio. This was produced and engineered by rock and roll legend Martin Birch who also produced or worked with the following bands:
Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash
Rainbow, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Jeff Beck as well as many other top musicians.

Songs are as follows:
1: Fire of Unknown Origin
2: BURNIN' FOR YOU
3: Veteran of the Psychic Wars
4: Sole Survivor
5: Heavy Metal: The Black and Silver
6: Vengeance (The Pact)
7: After Dark
8: Joan Crawford (Originally listed as Joan Crawford [Has Risen From the Grave])
9:Don't Turn Your Back.

The vast majority of this album (if not all of it, but I haven't been able to verify it as of this writing) was meant to be the soundtrack of the 1981 animated movie Heavy Metal, as can be witnessed in the scene where the Warrior woman swims through the temple pool to cleanse before battle, the lyrics of Vengeance (The Pact) is narrated over the scene.
This will be shipped with all artwork, including the back segment of the cd, but will not be shipped with the jewel case as it would force me to charge for shipping. I much prefer to ship for free. It makes life a lot more simple. The cd is in pristine condition with no flaws at all and will come with a paper sleeve.

Nothing says good like free. I hope you're watching Club Ninja as well. It's a massively underrated album. It fell victim to what many bands do, like the Black Sabbath's and David Bowie's of that era. People fixate on the big albums that made them famous and don't appreciate the stuff that came after. This album is well written, though, with Albert gone, not as much of the spooky stuff that marked their first 3 albums. That notwithstanding, it's still a killer album and in my regular rotation.

I was living in Tulsa, OK when it came out, the pure center of overreacting of Christianity, they were literally so Oral Robert's, wait,... I'd better leave this for a private message, unless you want to google Midwest America and over reactions circa 1981.
