Claire volunteers to teach for one year; her suitor offers to postpone the wedding. In Christopher Park, Claire finds eccentric folk and a warm welcome. The reception truly warms up when she meets the newspaper editor and falls in love. Unfortunately, while the editor cannot resist the genteel schoolteacher, he is also a man who tries to evade responsibility and stability.
