Battery is a 3 volt surefire lithium battery as of the amount of visible light I'm not 100% sure but I give off more light then a regular flash light and a led flash light as well www.surefire.com check it out these flash lights go for 70-120 depending were you look and battery's go for 10- 30 for 2
