it's not marked gold plated or gold filled so i'll just say it's gold tone.it's a nice heavy ring,no fading of the gold. it might be gold over silver. it doesn't stick to a magnet.it has 38 cz's clear and shows a lot of color. it's a bypass ring.

if you wear base or foundation on your face, if you take the ring and like stroke it down the side of your face, and it leaves a black mark, it is real gold, if there is no mark, it is fake. dont try to make a big mark cuz its not easy to get off. just a little tip,

sounds like a good trick,does it work with plated or filled jewelry? i don't wear foundation, all i have is powder. will that work? i would have to go out and buy some and i am snowed in. i always mail items won the next day after auction ends, but i don't think i will be able to get out tomorrow. the snow is still coming down, and another snow storm is on it's way wed. i am sorry if the delay is going to be a problem, don't bid. i will mail it as soon as possible. thanks for your bids.
