Description

The listing, The pregnant onion, (ornithogalum longibracteatum) FREE SHIPPING (as always) has ended.

The pregnant onion, (ornithogalum longibracteatum): You are bidding on one of the pregnant onions in the 1st picture. the other pictures are just examples of the plant i have found online. I have the bulb planted in a newspaper pot with soil that will be sent. The newspaper pot does not need to be removed, you can put it directly into your soil, and it will disintegrate and become part of the soil, which reduces shipping trauma. It will be padded to survive the trip. If there are ever problems let me know. I will replace the start if you send me a picture. This is what i have found online about care:
a very easy to grow plant indoors or out doors. this plant is not for eating and is ornamental only. baby bulb-lets are produced under the bulb skin of the mother and drop off rooting in the mix below. these are born at a very early stage. you can see the babies in the attached photo. this plant is widely used in hanging baskets due to its long cascading foliage. babies can be removed and potted up separately giving you more plants.

I had this plant years ago, and they are very easy to grow. And quite the conversation piece, when you tell people what it is!
