Description

The listing, Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop - For Parts or Repair has ended.

Laptop was working fine last week. I was able to turn it on fine and take off all needed files from the previous owner.
I went to use it the other day and it would not turn on. It'll light up, make some noise, and shut off.
When plugged in, the charging indicator does not light up. The light on the power brick does come on, though.

So something has gone bad with the power on the laptop.

Repair it and get it working again, or use the screen and other parts elsewhere.

Power cord (not pictured) IS INCLUDED.

Hard drive and ram not included, auctioned separately.

I have an alternate problem solution for your computer, with the problem you describe about the laptop, one of three things is wrong with it, bad memory, bad CPU or bad GPU, the RAM and CPU are replaceable the GPU however is firmware and cannot be fixed. Try taking out a stick of memory and power it on, if it does the same thing, switch the RAM and try again, if you're still having the same problem and you have a replacement CPU, switch them out and power the computer on again, if it works, you have fixed the computer. If the computer powers on after removing a stick of RAM, the one not in the computer is bad and should be thrown away. I'm a computer IT specialist and I work on computers for a living.

could also try unplugging it, removing the battery, press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. reinsert battery and try to power it on. energy gets over loaded in the capacitors this will release all built up energy and set the flow proper.
