Love avocados? I have up for grabs an avocado seed that has started to root and is ready to be planted. As you can see in the photo the avocado seed has split and the root has started from the middle.

Can u get Avocados from the seed? I thought u had to GRAFT them from tree to tree? do u have Avocado fruit from a seed/tree u grown?

Hi parteofive, all I know is my grandma had a bunch of avocado trees in her back yard and she would always start them from the pit from an avocado like this and get it rooted then she would plant em.

my grandma tought me this. she had an avocado tree in the back yard. I personally can't plant it at this time cause I am living in an apt. complex

as far as i know u don't. my grandma always rooted the pits from avocaodos tje same way I did this one and then once they rooted she planted it.

I honestly am not positive cause my grandma had several avocado trees on the homestead before they got to old to take care of it and my uncle made them sale the property and move to a trailer park. Sorry I can't give more definitive answers. Was rooting this to grow for myself but ended up moving to an apt. complex so can't plant it here.
