The listing, Vintage Compact Petty Cash Case has ended.
Here is an unusual case made I believe in the 1950's or perhaps earlier. It is made to hold petty cash in a plastic insert inside the gold case. There is a clip on the top of the inner case to hold bills. The plastic case has gold flecks. The inner lid opens easily. This piece looks as if it was never used. The original paper pictures of the coins line the bottom and the top holds a framed rectangle for a photo. It says "Petty Cash Casel". The original photo of a young Kirk Douglas is missing. I know there was one because I've seen one of these but with a large dollar sign on the outside but with the picture inside. The outside has a small dollar sign and the words Petty Cash and some coins on a plush black soft plastic. A push in clasp opens it. This is an amazing piece of history in almost pristine condition.Very minor scratches on the bottom. Measures 2 7/8"x 2 3/8".
