Description

The listing, LARGE Lot Bali Style Antique Gold Daisy Spacers Beads Beading Craft Supplies has ended.

This LARGE lot of Bali-style daisy spacers, in antique gold color, has at least 50 beads, probably closer to 80. I think most of them are 5mm, but some may be 4mm. These add a wonderful traditional flare and texture when nested between larger beads.

After Bentley asked a few questions I added a few photos to show you how these types of findings look with other beads--see the last photo for these particular spacers

Beautiful and expensive to buy, I believe these are vermeil, which is gold plate over sterling. But I bought them long ago and can't guarantee exactly what they are made of.

FREE SHIPPING in the US.

Canada ship is $8, and can ship MULTIPLE small items at no added cost You MUST use Paypal.

Beading beaders craft alert ... I ordered some more of those glass animal beads everyone loves from a guy on ebay. Turns out he's getting out of the biz so he shipped me a 17-pound box of many kinds of beads! They are wonderful, but I can't use that many beads in 10 lifetimes. I will be offering LARGE lots of these beads--BIG variety including pink-ribbon (breast cancer) beads, millefiore and other glass, coin-shaped--all sorts of variety!

You will need several items ... some bead stringing material (I like Soft Flex, because it won't break or cut with glass beads, but Soft Flex is the most expensive). You'll also need a pair of beading pliers, a pair of crimping pliers, and some crimp beads (or some other method of finishing the necklace or whatever). You'll also need some clasps, and if you want to make earrings, earring findings (like the posts I sold last week, or some earring wires). It's fun, not really hard just takes a llittle practice making loops and stuff with the special pliers. You can probably buy a whole kit of tools pretty cheap on ebay or elsewhere.

If you are interested in getting into beading, I really like beadaholique on ebay ... she sells findings and tools. You can also find instructions for making loops and finishing necklaces online, or buy a little book in a bookstore (if you have a used bookstore nearby I'm sure you can get beading books).

It's not difficult, but you can develop a BAD habit of buying too many beads. Like most hobbies, you'll find it more enjoyable if you buy decent supplies (like the Soft Flex), and it can add up fast. I'm hoping to attract more beaders to Listia to sell - swap - recycle unused beads and supplies. I'm sure most of us have hundreds of dollars of stuff sitting in little containers or bags that we'll never use! Even with everything I've given away on Listia, I have plenty more!

These would be perfect for perfume bottle bases.

Oh yes, they are pretty small but should sit flat enough to stand up. They also are excellent for putting between beads to give them some dimension and richness. I almost always put some sort of metal between beads, which is why spacers are so popular with beaders!

They are a very popular and basic jewelry finding ... if you make beaded jewelry, you'll want some of these to have on hand!

Any beads you're looking for in particular? I happen to come from a whole family of beaders myself! My brother and I are into it quite heavily, and my mom has also joined us. We have quite the collection! It's hard to let go of them... thinking "I might use that one day" But... so could you! :)

I don't get my beads out very often. Right now I'm spending ALL my time on LIstia. If I bought more beads I'd probably look for high-end stones and semi-precious. If your famly has beads that have been sitting around for a long time, why not put them on Listia???

Nice auctions, but a bit of advice ... ship for free. I think you should be able to ship scrapbook items in a flat envelope for three stamps. You will get a LOT more credits, and from what I've seen scrapbook supplies can do pretty well on Listia. I know it sounds insane to offer free shipping on things you are GIVING away, but it comes back to you when you win all my FREE SHIPPING auctions!

I'm going to have more of the silver star-shaped Bali spacers, so save up some credits if you need these sorts of findings.
