Garmin Nuvi 350 portable gps navigation system. Very compact and easy to use. This features TTS, mp3 player, photo viewer and soo much more. TTS is text to speech which means it will give you verbal directions like "turn right on main st" instead of "turn right at next turn". Comes with the unit, car charger. Charging port little messed up, need to wiggle charger. Besides that works good.

How "messed" up is the charging port...? Is it easy to upgrade the maps or have you already done that?

not too bad you just have to wiggle it til it starts charging. i won this on Listia but the person that sold it to me didn't mention that the port had problems. I don't want to be fiddleing with that. the maps were last updated in 2008. if you wanna update it you would need to do it through the internet. the navi has the site to go to.

they were last updated in 2008 from the person i won it from. to update the maps you would have to do it online and the site is displayed in the navigation unit

Do you have the software (CD`s) that comes with this unit..??? Because you need that sofware uploaded on your computer in order to get upgrades for the maps...???!!!!
I dont think you can just download maps with out that software....!!!!.....Am I rigth...????!!!!

Because the problem on the on the "charging port" does the unit over heat or gets hot because of the bad connection...???!!!
This is an issue that could damage the main board..
If it is too "messed up"....must be replaced in order to avoid damage to the main board.

@jhidalgo1961 I have updated GPS systems before, you do not need the CD. You just goto their website and download the update.

Ok, thanks for the tip randomheroe1. Just wanna be sure that i will work properly, cause i do really need one of this units on my car....!!!!!!...just dont want to be in the middle of the everglades with a malfunctioning unit......lol
