Description

The listing, New Sz 7 Kate Middleton/Princess Diana Copy Ring Strlng Silver w/ Blue & White Sapphires-Free Ship has ended.

This is a new copy of the ring ring Prince William gave to Kate Middleton which was the same ring Princess Diana got from Prince Charles. This ring is in solid Sterling Silver . My mother wore it for a day to impress her friends which look like it produced a couple of tiny scratches which says to me it is not rhodium plated, I'm not sure.

The stones are synthetic white and blue sapphires not CZ! It's a size 7 or maybe 7.25 on my ring sizing mandrels.

Free US and Canadian shipping. I should be able to get this to you by Christmas no problem using US or International Priority Mail.

This is a very beautiful ring :-). The photos are my actual photos. The silver ring part is a little less impressive then the stones so don't go too crazy in the bidding lest you be disappointed with the item when it comes. The setting is "elegant" not heavyweight.

That is very, very pretty ... Thanks for being so honest about the tiny scratches and the stones being synthetic ... I'm still gonna watch it :)

Yeah it's better to say it up front then for the buyer to be disappointed. You can't really see the scratches unless you look at the shank up close.

It's not my mom's size either. She wore it on her pinky which I guess is not too useful...

By the way these are real sapphires, it's just scientists these days can create them pretty easily. In fact they use the same sapphires for some good quality watch crystals nowadays and I think good sand paper grit. Sapphire is next to diamonds among the "common" compounds in terms of hardness.

so pretty! You do have awesome auctions,I live close by, and you Outbid me, constantly, lol! Oh well..That is what auctions are about!! Very nice! When you say not Heavyweight, Elegant...In your opinion, (and I believe that you are a 1000% Honest Seller)..do you think that the Setting/Gems will hold up? Not so lightweight as to be too delicate? Thanks, and as always, I enjoy watching your auctions, Deb

Not it's not junky. It looks pretty solid. The ring though does have parts where it uses double struts where maybe it would have been nicer to have it solid, however there is I think some principle in metallurgy where 2 struts can be stronger than solid structure. I don't really know since I haven't studied jewelry design.

OMG! I in no way implied that it was "junky" I think it' s very pretty. I just wanted to know if it was "delicate", as If it was a gift to a teenager girl, and she wore it a lot if it would be too delicate a piece, for everyday wear. You know how teenagers "latch" on to a favorite piece and wear it constantly. I am so sorry that you though i meant it was not substantial:( It is lovely, thanks!

That's alright. I made mention of the "elegant" setting because I didn't want someone to feel disappointed when they got it.

I just pulled it out again. I think it's appropriate for the setting. Keep in mind this is a $30 ring, just an outstanding one for that amount. It's appropriate for a teenager because of it's inexpensiveness. Also because of the beauty, she might be extra careful with it which might be a learning experience. It's not an every day item I think, maybe more of a party ring....The setting has Victorian flourishes that might bend if knock around by a teenager wearing while playing sports :->

Then again I'm not a woman and I'm no expert, just learning jewelry as a hobby now.

The Victorian flourishes form an inverted crown under the ring of white stones. You can't see it in the picture.

Thanks for your above answer:0 You make a good point! A teenage girl would love to wear something so special & pretty to a party or event. And because of the uniqueness and beauty, would learn to take good care of it. Great idea:) Thanks for the idea! It seems like you have already learned, a lot of useful and practical info. about jewelry! Thanks very much!

Elijah. Thanks maybe it would be a good fit for her. Yeah I'm having fun learning about jewelry. I'm a dilettante and I've found a new interest :->
