Description

The listing, Hold that Tiger! has ended.

I'm not sure where this tiger was made, or when. I got it at an estate sale. From what else I saw at the sale, I'm thinking it is a souvenir item from some trip taken long ago. So far as I can tell, it's made from some kind of natural fibrous material, not exactly paper mache as we know it, but similar. Now is does show some signs of wear, but I think it mostly sat on a shelf, but kids or grandkids played with it some and dinged it a little. Nothing much, but the very tip of one tooth seems to be broken off, and it shows a little wear here and there. A momento from a long ago trip to India, perhaps? Your guess is as good as mine. It's neat, I've had it a while, but it's to the point around here where I can't keep all my nifty yard and estate sale finds. Yes, I have to charge shipping, I simply can't afford to put cash out of pocket these days unless of course you want to pay enough points to make it worth it to me as reflected in the Get It Now price.

might be, but since I don't know that for certain, I can't say so. It's obviously one thing on the outside, and something else inside. The whole thing can't be leather, it would be much heavier. I would guess it's at least 1950's, judging from the other things at the sale, but again, I can't claim what I don't know for certain. I only bought it because it caught my eye at the time, and the price wasn't all that much. I've had it a while, like two years or so, it's time to let somebody else enjoy it, I'm getting way too many things around here that just sit on the shelf. My lady collects ceramic bells and angels, so that's taking up all the room now, even after I put her a couple more shelves up. If I put a shelf up, she'll fill it. I don't even have room to display my knives or model cars.
