This is an Italian charm bracelet -- with about 18 links all linked together -- If bracelet is too big -- just take 1 link out -- if too small you can add a link of your choice . -- The links have a spring action that you just put your thumb and finger on link and do a sliding motion -- this is how they are put together . No the hearts themselves are enamel -- do not come out . Hope this helps .
