This is to make your hair straight and smooth for up to 7 washes. You do this kit to your hair and it keeps it straighter easier longer. Not forever, but for 7 washes. It is New in an unopened box.. I used half of everything and did it 2 different times . I cut my hsair now so i want my curl. Zoom in and read back of box . Good stuff wont harm colored hair. Helps Frizz.

F&W Seems like great stuff. My hair is naturally soooo curly and I straighten it EVERY day. This would def give me a break...lol

I do not know if this will or won't work for African American hair. I have wave in my hair and I only used half of the product the first time and the other half the second and it was great. I cut my hair and want the wave now.

I did have to do a quick straightening after shampoo. Nothing compared to what I had to do before this stuff.
