Description

The listing, Sterling Silver .925 Tiffany & Co. Inspired Necklace! has ended.

You are bidding on a Tiffany & Co. inspired,.925 Sterling Silver Necklace. The beautiful heart pendant is the EXACT same shape and size of the Tiffany & Co. necklace that inspired so many replicas of the original necklace. The most obvious sign that other necklaces are not authentic that gives them away is the size and up close the shape of the pendant front and back. Because the pendant is freeform and thus flips easily,it's important that the pendant be properly finished on the back to truly appear authentic. This pendant and chain are an exact replica of the TACO necklace in size, metal, shape, major and minor details and chain length. As always thanks so much for watching/fanning/sharing/bidding/looking and best of luck to those that bid!!

I take pics of hallmarks on my jewelry with my phone camera. No need for special lenses. I have a crappy phone and still get them .
I was curious. I have a few of those necklaces and none were real.

There you go I took pics. Low and behold! My camera did JUST what I said it would (took pics with the same old clarity as it always has) guess it didn't get your memo about how YOUR camera works.. *shrug*

I HATE that I had to go there but people make me furious with that crap. Sometimes they don't realize how they come across and the concern is legit but should have been stated better and other times they get pissy over an auction they lost to me or mad that I have an item like one they've listed that's doing better than theirs is and it's their form of sabotage. WHATEVER the case it's disgusting, childish and one of the top 3 reasons people eventually take Listia breaks.

Yes! and I'm sorry I hadn't mentioned it previously!! BOTH the chain AND the pendant are sterling silver and marked. This is not a replacement chain, they were sold together and everything is original!! Thanks for that very important question.

Gentlemen grab this NOW for Valentine's Day!!! I will do something AMAZING for your loved one as a bonus if the GIN is used. This necklace was expensive as it is a replica of a VERY expensive necklace. If you consider the pricepoint we use for gift cards on Listia this GIN is conservative. I will throw in 2 bonuses if the GIN is used at any time. If the GIN is used with 24 hours of the list time I will throw in 4 bonus gifts.

OH, that's interesting... I definitely thought if it was a "replica" it was trying to mimic another style (like this is T&Co. style) - but if it doesn't say the brand name on a "fake" item, then it's not a replica? Very interesting! Well, it sounds like you understand this better than I do- thanks for explaining and good luck on your auction. It is a really nice necklace. :)

Replica is okay as TACO has not patented or laid claim to the design but counterfiet bags that outright intend to deceive are a huge no no. There was a big issue when Listia was new with fake MAC,Coach,Luis,Juicy,MK and Ed Hardy on this site. Listings were pulled left and right and bidders were demanding in a very nasty way the stupidest of details to the point of just scrutinizing and harassing anyone that dared list any of the aforementioned. I thought Listia was going to ban luxury goods from being traded here it had gotten so bad.

2 of her listings ended today she only has 1 iPhone 5 case left active and it ends very soon! People on here are a mess and for the most part always have been. I just exhale and pray lol. The winner of this listing will be VERY pleased. The item will come impressively boxed and ready to give with VERY romantic and special bonuses if the GIN is used!!

Aww thanks so much! I buy most of what I list nowadays. I really do want people to see what they REALLY want on Listia, not just feel like they're picking through peoples old junk. It can be so garage sale-esque sometimes. I just try to make things fun!!

I tried when I posted, love. My cell phone is the camera I use and it's not capable of taking a pic of something so small. All I can do is try to borrow a camera from a family member. Special lenses are generally required to photograph such small hallmarks and details on jewelry I promise you I will try to find a camera capable of that.

Thank you for saying that. People are nuts. Chances are I outbid her on something. Just immature and disrespectful. This is why I take frequent Listia breaks.

It's pretty, but since it's a replica of a designer brand, it's against the rules. I had a replica Juicy Couture necklace up last week. I was totally honest it wasn't real and people wanted it bc they liked it anyway. It got taken down and I got a warning issued from Listia. It said I could even get banned if I list any more replicas. I think it's so stupid if you're honest about it, but it's in the written rules. Just giving you heads up bc I don't want you to get in trouble too.
Sep 28th, 2013 at 4:19:42 PM PDT by
Original
It's a replica in that it looks like the necklace. What you're referring to is a knockoff which bears the same logo as an original in an attempt to deceive. This necklace does NOT bear the TACO logo so it does not violate Listia's rules.

18" Sterling Silver chain. Lol @ "flagging fairies" and then they rewarded it with a badge smh the badge isn't licence to flag everything you see it's intended as a reward for helping Listia remove listings that ACTUALLY violate the rules. People have no sense lol. But..we have to take the good with the bad unfortunately even here!! Everyone go check out Matimani's beautiful tiffany inspired bracelet!!

The original was designed by Elsa Peretti, and was extremely popular and copied a thousand time over. I believe the original version carries her name and the Tiffany Company stamp. My Aunt had one of the very first ones made. My uncle was a dentist and he copied it with his casting equipment! Lol! He's long gone, now I'd say he made them in the 1970's out of gold.I have no idea how many he made or who he gave them to. But he could have made quite a few!
Sep 30th, 2013 at 12:22:02 AM PDT by
Original
This is true! and Tiff & Co still commissions Elsa Peretti for silver goods. The original was in SS $450 then a precious metal version came out released by TACO under her name for over $1,000. Then the similar necklaces surfaced.

Thanks, yes, I remember it was expensive , prbably one of the most famous and popular piece of jewelry ever made. Paloma Picasso later came into Tiffany's with the "Hugs and Kisses" line (XOXOXO) which was also a huge success, but still I believe this is number one.

Paloma Picasso brings back memories. She is so beautiful and her jewelry was so innovative for the time period she emerged in. I have a few of her pieces that were handed down and they're still classic!!

A lot of Listains do. Even though Listia states that copyright infringment is the issue behind the rule many believe the item can't even look the same and that's not the case unless the design itself has been patented and is owned exclusively by a company. There are far too many of these necklaces being sold by various manufacturers for this to be the case. Zales has several,Littman's Jewelers, there are costume versions literally thousands of this necklace. One of my ruder commenters stated she had "several" and they were "all fake". There is no real or fake it's just a freeform floating heart pendant. The fact that one in particular was made by TACO and was a status piece in no way defines every other similar necklace as fake! I have already asked a Listia mod to look at the listing an was told it was fine. Anyone selling anything similar need only clearly state that the item is NOT a name brand item.
