Description

The listing, Spellbinders Snowflake (Impressabilities) has ended.

This is from Spellbinders. The name on the package is Snowflake. It's by Impressabilities. It is for embossing and debossing, letterpress with ink, and can be used as a stencil. I personally think it's too flimsy to use in a die cutting machine, but there are some great die cutting machines out there. This is absolutely gorgeous! The package measures about 5 3/4 by about 4 1/2 inches. This is brand new in package. The colors shown on the front are just examples of what you can do with this impression.

no, it doesn't fold over like a sandwich, but you do emboss with it. You just put your paper on top of the image and run it through your embossing machine.

Been watching...A website called paperandmore.com sells a "text" weight paper that is thinner than cardstock, available in 100 sheet units, reasonably priced, and embosses perfectly. Also great for layering with little weight. Soft, subtle colors and jewel tones.

You can use it as a stencil according to the package. And, see my note to the other kind lady about using pressure. I would even think you could try it with a heavy book too. It depends on how you rub it.

f&w. can you just use embossing tools or do you need the embossing machine?

I've never done this without an embossing machine. All I know is that the package says it can be used for embossing. You know embossing is just pressure. You can even rub a brick or heavy panacross it with paper on top and it should be embossed!

When you use these in a machine, they work best if you use a rubber sheet on top or below the die. It helps the embossing come through with these thin ones.

Thank you for pointing that out. I know that if you use just a weight then rub another weight across, it doesn't show up as good. That's probably why. It also depends on the type of paper you use. If you use a heavy cardstock, it's much harder to emboss than if you use a thin sheet of paper.

already a fan :( watching :) -- Spellbinders have these little rubber/silicone mats that you can run through with these that make them work sort of similar to an embossing folder ... can't remember what they call them :P
