usps is regular mail....unless you sent it express or in a giant box with extra weight there should be no reason it is $8....0riority mail flat rate can be cheaper than that! usps first class is the cheapest....and it will cost between $1.75-$3 at very most with good packing and tracking

Well I sent it in a bubble envelope no bigger than the blu ray from Canada to West Virginia through Canada post. It cost 7.78 .... :/
