Description

The listing, ***Spectacular SILVER AGE Comics tiered auction! has ended.

This is a tiered auction with Silver Age comics (some may be Golden Age if they are 10 cent comics). I got this cool idea from a new Listia friend who just had an auction for all number 1 issues. Thanks, Joe!
For every 5000 bid I will add another comic. Marvel, DC, Dell, Gold Key, etc. Also, every day I will add another comic (may miss a day here and there but will catch up). May even throw an extra in if I am having a better than average day.
The pictures will be the actual books. Some will be in better shape than others but they will all be collectible. I have hundreds of others to choose from. If you have a favorite title, fan me and send a suggestion.

No buyer's remorse. I am not a grader but will describe any comic upon request. Otherwise check out the pic and judge for yourself. Lots of free classic comics for FREE!! Oh, did I mention "Free"?! haha

** No GIN on this auction as that would ruin the fun!

In honor of the upcoming movie, to start things out we have Thor #138 from the incomparable team of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby! Very solid classic book.

Happy Bidding!!

It's a fun format to run but take a lot of monitoring and listian need to bid to get books. Im going to try to win this one im always in the need for silver age comics.

P.s. Bid me up please I want more silver age comics. And this will help the seller decide what books to give base on bids.

Somebody slap me im sure a lot of guys are watching this auction. But waiting til the last sec to bid doesn't work with this format. Seller is checking daily and adding books.

Better books are giving base on bids. So snipe if you want at the end and win nothing. Or bid early and help this auction move in the right direction and give yourself a idea on how much credits I have to bid. And yes im all in on this. Bid me up. Your credits will not be tie up.

I plan on winning this auction.

####Catching up with the tier bids:
1. Magnus Robot Fighter #11 Gold Key spine roll, marve chipping. Terrific color.
2. The Avengers #40 Marvel Sub-Mariner piece missing front cover bottom right. Couple of small pieces of tape at top and bottom of spine (don't appear to be doing anything. Date written on front cover
3. The Invaders #2 Gold Key well-read but super-solid.

How sad it is to say that.....yes, I was born before May of 1964. But I didn't get the Comic Book Bug until 1967. Maybe I bought the Tarzan of the Apes #167, I wish I still had that ....oh well.

So was I. When I was 9 we moved to Jacksonville and my mom sold my collection at that time. Two huge boxes. That was 1970 so you can imagine the gems in there. At least she got a whole $4.00!

***BONUS COMIC for reaching the 20K mark. Strange Suspense Stories #70. Super-solid book with a few stains on back cover and small piece missing from top right of the front cover. Printed in May 1964. How many of us were even born then?!

****Okay, can't update thru the system any more since we are on our last day so look here for updates and more comics!
#### New for today is Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan of the Apes #167 from Gold Key. Printed in 1967 and features Manning art. Super good shape. Can tell it has been read a few times but other than a few spine breaks it is excellent. You won't believe the cover color; looks like it was printed yesterday!
