I was going to post this hat closer to Christmas time but decided since it was so light weight that I better get it posted before the really cold weather got here. So this hat is kind of between seasons. This will be the last of this pattern that I will do until hot weather comes back. I was thinking that if this was worn kind of like a snood how great it would be in the holiday season. It is really a brilliant red. (The flash makes it look a little orange.) This hat has a large circumference so won't be tight around your head. Made with fine, fingering yarn, it is light as a feather. How gorgeous would this look on a blonde or over black hair! Feel free to ask any questions.

I have none of these hats in reserve and thought that the open weave design of this is not really practical for the cold season coming up, so had decided not to do any more of this pattern. What do you think? Would people wear these a snoods or wear them in cooler weather? They are very easy to make, so they don't take long to do and put up for auction. I'm just concerned that they have outlived their season as outer wear and would only be worn as snoods now. I'd like to hear my fans response to this.

I think they would. its not heavy.or hot---- very breathable. i like them like that.

These particular hats are light as a feather, but could be made with much heavier yarn. Might be nice for stylin' in the winter but the cold sure would come in the holes.

I plan on wearing my year round as well. but Im in Southern ca, but if I was back home in ky I would wear them then too. watching this one too. :)

Well, this one is great for hot weather inside or out. It surely would not keep your ears warm in KY. in the winter time.
