Description

The listing, Salmon-Chase 1 Dollar Bill has ended.

This copy of a note that I own personally, I am sorry that it is not mint condition however this bill was printed between 1861 and 1864. This particular bill was most likely printed in 1963 as it is a series 3 note. The first U.S. federal currency, the greenback demand note, was printed in 1861–1862, during Chase's tenure as Secretary of the Treasury. These greenbacks formed the basis for today's paper currency. It was Chase's responsibility to design the notes. In an effort to further his political career, his face appeared on a variety of U.S. paper currency, starting with the $1 bill so that the people would recognize him.
To honor Chase for introducing the modern system of banknotes, he was depicted on the $10,000 bill printed from 1928 to 1946. Chase was instrumental in placing the phrase "In God We Trust" on United States coins.

This will be digitally delivered so if you are the winner of this copy you will need to provide me with a current email address so that I can email you the attachment and you can print it out and frame it.

I send within the 7days that listia allows me if possible I send the moment I get your email address. I do not give credits back for buyers remorse, quality of the image you see on your screen or how well or not your printer prints the image. This is a copy of a very old document and will not be in pristine condition.

I will email you your copy as soon as I have your email address. Usually the same day depending on timezones.

NOTE: I hate to have to put it this way however the last two sales resulted in the buyer filing a dispute that I hadn't sent their copy when i had sent it to them twice at the e-mail address they gave me. Thank you for your understanding and happy bidding. :-)

Thank you for looking and good luck bidding.

It is Digital Delivery because you are getting a COPY of a note in my possession. It is a note with great historical value and would make a nice gift framed for your favorite Numismatist.
