In "Adventure at Sun Rock Ranch," Missy and her friend, Anita, are treated to an adventure at Sun Rock Ranch--a working cattle and horse ranch specializing in natural training methods. While there, the girls experience the birth of a brand new colt, as well as trail riding in over 2,500 acres on the ranch itself. Unfortunately for missy, a gate is accidentally left unlocked and a small calf escapes and becomes lost in the thick brush and canyons that rim the acreage. Taking her usual control of the situation, Missy convinces herself and Anita to venture out on their own to bring the calf back and leading to their being lost themselves. After being found by one of the ranchhands and spending what becomes an adventurous evening in the wild, Missy and Anita are able to return the calf to its mother and bring home their experiences to their friends.
