the touch and teach turtle includes three (3) modes of play. in letter mode, the light-up color buttons teach letters, shapes and 30 corresponding objects! flip the switch and in story mode, the light-up color buttons tell small stories about the objects and the number buttons play sound effects. one more flip and the music mode plays sound effects and melodies

the manufacturer says 12months and up toys r us lists it as 12months-3 years. hope that helps. it's a very cool learning toy.
