The listing, BOB-LO ISLAND POSTCARDS - 3 (Memorabilia) has ended.

These three postcards are pictorial evidence of good -times-gone-by. This was a fun family adventure when you boarded this beautiful boat, treated to music, a host of beautiful sites along the water and the most exciting part of the trip, anticipation of finally reaching the amusement park. It is no longer an amusement park and the boat was retired for awhile. It is being refurbished in hopes of returning to transporting persons on the water, again. It would most likely be a trip up and down the Detroit River, maybe to the St. Clair River. Bob-Lo Island was located in Canada. I don't know the dates on these, they have never been mailed, are in good condition, very colorful.

I am glad someone else remembers, I spent a lot of wonderful times on that old boat and the island, too. I talked to a man at the State Fair in Novi, and he said they are trying to restore the boat to accommodate diners and parties. This is cool. I saw the boat docked at the summer festival a couple of years ago. Talk about feeling old, I had a real moment of "wow-remember whens" that day, like the day my grampa decided to ask some strange-looking guy to dance the polka withme. I was only 13 and my face was so red, I thought it would ignite into flames. lol anyway, have a great day!
