I was just reading about Champagne Diamond, they started a new classification when the Argyle Mine opened in Australia which is the largest producer of Champagne Diamonds in the World.It's called the "C" class , the lighter brown (a Fancy Diamond) is considered #1 going to C7 which is a dark brown. Really I like them all and the dark brown is like a brown Topaz only deeper and more glittery.The lighter brown ,C1 is like the color of Champagne but you have to be careful, some jewelers try to sell"Yellow" diamonds ,as Brown or Champagne diamonds.
