old metal box, Persian silver (unmarked). There's another one like this on ebay for $48. As this is unmarked I can't vouch for metal content, this does NOT react to a magnet at all, silverplate items typically do react to magnets. Selling low as a metal box, it is marked on back with a sticker that says Nassim's Iran. The sides are embossed / engraved attractively. The top is mother of pearl inset into the metal and it looks like enamel painting on top of the shell, the large whitish area you see in the close up photo is where some painting has flaked off.
