take this with you and have internet anywhere you want...i even used it in the mountains in colorado and had internet...i slid it in the side of my laptop and bamb i had internet....when your done pull it out and thats that...i dont travel like i use to so i dont have any use for it....the pictures should have all the info you need about it...have anymore questions just ask

no it works alone you just pay verizon for the internet service...you wont to buy the card thingy cause thats what this is

FYI: A v640 only works on rev 0 network so it is NOT broadband speed like a v740 rev A card. verizon rev 0 runs about 200k down and 80k up. rev a runs 2.5m down and 900k up. it will work but do not expect it to be fast like the current 3G you may see. This is an older 2G modem. When you go to verizon to get service they will give you a 3g card for free if you sign a contract. if you go month to month you can use this one but you will pay more. they do have a lower price plan now thats only for 250 meg that may work with this well.

thank you for the info even though knowone asked for it...that was very neighborly of you...it was always fast for me... i never had a problem doing anythign on my computer... i was able to play games and do anythign i wanted to do....and yes it is broadband... i never had a problem with it

you can do my the month or a contract for 1 yr or 2 yr...i did it by the month when i had it cause i didnt need all the time just when i went out of town

ive seen the cards for that month to month at walmart this thing is pretty cool is easy to load up
