The listing, Compaq Laptop Computer please see discription has ended.

Compaq laptop disk drive no longer works and needs new power cord other then that works fine. Been in storage for a few months used to be used for school.

SO THE DISK DRIVE AND THE HARD DRIVE AND THE POWER CORD DOESN'T WORK? You put just the disk drive and power cord in the description and then told someone that the hard drive doesn't work too. this is a scam!

If you can fix it yes its garenteed to work. This thing lasted me for 2 and a half years.

Once a bid has been placed you can not edit what you put in the description, however, you can contact Listia and they can edit it for you. I just read that last comment you made, tsk tsk. Easy with the temper now. If what they are saying is not true then dont let it bother you. I understand that the hard drive, disk drive do not work and you do not have a power cord for this lap top, so yes I do understand what I am getting here, and it is a good thing I know how to build computers cause that is what I am going to do with this one for my daughter. I have another one just like this one sitting right here next to me, so between the two I should be able to get one good one.

Disk drives are like, cd's, dvds, etc...Hard Drive is what holds everything else..

I agree, get off this guys a**. Hes just trying to make a few credits. If you don't like the description, the item, or anything else, go on to the next auction. No need to bash this guy senseless. Its a laptop that need repair before it will work, no he wont guarantee that it will work. Dude, you should have just said what was wrong with it and said SOLD AS IS.

A better way of putting it is a disk drive will play the information to you while a hard drive holds the information out of site for you. A disk drive you tell it what to do and a hard drive already knows what to do.

I have this same laptop but mine is just a few years newer. I know mine the fan is in a bad spot and it over heats all the time and my power cord fried because of that. Just wondering if this had the same problem? That would be a good thing to let ppl know if so and Id suggest them getting an external fan....

We just used cooling pad for it all the time and it seemed to help but yes it did have an over heating problem.
