ya you can upload from cd and tranfer with drag and drop and i used windows media player ,but you can use any program that allows drag n drop.

My daughter had this one and it had software called rip tunes that you could drag and paste songs. but I dont think you needed the software to use it. IT plugs in and charges through USB port. IT was fairly easy to use but my 7 year old trashed hers fast. She is pretty rough on things,lol.

it takes 1 AAA battery and yes it is very easy to use. i used windows media player and i got rechargable batteries and it saved me alot of money that way
