Offered for bidding is a vintage black & white photograph from 1941 featuring a group of school-aged children posing together on a sunny day. In the snow, they are all bundled up with smiley faces! Measuring 4 1/2" by 2 3/4", it is marked 'Effie, 1941' on the back with the small printed number 17, and is in excellent condition. This was a recent find in my Grandparent's belongings and I'm not sure where it was taken. As I look at it, I think about how blessed they were to be healthy, happy and provided for during a time when other children in Europe were not. They had no idea what was happening in 1941 . . .
