These are so beautiful you won't believe it!! And they look just great on!! They are long! Fishtail sectioned beautifully made REAL sterling silver, marked 925! a little over 5 pennyweight. And they sway freely with every move you make! The little black onyx at the bottom is like a little pendulum , and is sooo cute! These are not too heavy as each section is hollow, so anyone should be able to wear these as long as your ears are pierced! They are long and dangley almost 4 3/4 inches long!!You can see the 925 under my copyright notice (sorry about that! Don't know how it got there!!Lol!) . Thanks Stephen!! These really do move!! Yes, these really were my treasures! But now I want they to find new homes , with new people, I've kept them to myself long enough. And I will get new treasures with my points(credits) , it's not easy letting go, I do love these!! But , I think they'd look great on new ears!! Lol! And they are real Sterling Silver! What would smoke have to do with metal? It's not permeable. I am a smoker I won't lie, but I think what you should be concerned with are things like clothes, also, I just cleaned these and put them right into a box. They aren't exposed to anything, but if you have issues , maybe best not to bid. Ty for asking though(PS if you ride in a car, you do know exhaust is smoke! and if you barbecue, on the grill or broil your food, it gives off smoke.Smoke is everywhere, actually, forest fires,volcanoes, cars, trains, planes, it's already in the air.I had a friend ,she'd have a hissy fit , if I lit a cigarette in her studio(we are artists), but everyday she put on her helmet and arc-welded her sculptures!! Haha!!That place was loaded with smoke!! I said "Jaye!! You are kidding ,right?" Lol! Sorry, not trying to offend anyone, but only to make you laugh! Another friend of mine was deathly allergic to diesel exhaust fumes, I have no idea if it was real or in her head , it doesn't matter which , it was real to her..We always had to pull over if a bus or Mercedes got in front of her car, and she'd have to breath is some fresh air before we could go again. Anyway(I'm getting off track! Lol! You decide, if you want to bid, I don't want you to be unhappy ,though.

hmm, Lol! I should know that! But I don't! You can check by using an "Online Weight Conversion Chart" (I think that should work) pennyweights are how precious metals are measured. I do know my pennyweight scale goes up to 35, so I presume it's 35 pennyweights in a gram,maybe ? I really don't know(lol! Sorry just guessing! Well, you can't wear an oz. on each ear(I wouldn't try it with pierced ears!! Haha!! Unless you are Ubangi from Africa (wear those huge rings inside their lips and ears). These are light!

Sterling is not that expensive right now, I should say (not as compared to when those two Brothers racked up the price in the 1980's!! Then it was $50 an oz.! ) What you are buying here are gorgeous, beautifully made earrings , out of precious metal,and onyx,that will make you or a girlfriend look amazing!

I did check , 18 penny weight in an oz., just so you know! These are 5 pennyweight by my scale(C'mon you mathematicians! What is that , less than 1/3 of an oz? I think so roughly $6 to $9 in raw materials? .925 Sterling is less than pure, pure is about $24 an oz now), according to Listia(if you "buy" points or credits" 16000 cost $40 so ,let's figure $10 is 1/4 of 16000 or 4000 points or credits is $10 , right now the bid is at 1260 (lol! This is deep! so I think these are at about $3.oo? Am I right?
