is this the kind of thing where you just put a regular cloth diaper on the baby with some snappies, and then put one of these covers over it? im new to cloth diapering and still trying to figure it all out!

I use these by folding the cloth diaper in thirds and placing it in the cover. There is no pocket, I just lay it in. But you can use snappi or pins and then cover it.

yep, sticks to the front very well, sometimes comes off the laundry tabs in the machine.

I'm sorry I'm completely clueless to this but would like to try it too. What is snappi or pins and you have to place a cover over the cover? I thought you just bought some kind of reuseable insert and this was the only cover needed? Sorry to sound so clueless.

This is just a cover. You will need something absorbent under the cover. Snappi is a device for attaching a foldable diaper (like those gerber diapers sold in walmart) without using pins. Google it :)
I just fold those kind of diapers (prefolds) into the cover without pinning them or snappi-ing them.
