I actually have no idea. I have never personally played it other than checking to make sure the disk was fully operational. Sorry I don't have more info for you!

I think what he wants to know is weather or not he can play the game without the mics. The answer is yes. but if you are using the wii remote to start from the title screen it will want the microphone because the wii remote is the controller for the mic and the mic only. In order to play u must press plus on your guitar or drums in order to proceed.

Unless you have: A) Microphone, B) Drum, or C) Guitar you can't play Rock Band with just the Wii Remote. I am assuming it would be similar to Guitar Hero World Tour (first Guitar Hero that added the Drums and Microphone). I tried playing the game on the PS2 with just the controller (could do so with the previous three games). This didn't work and always asked for a microphone.

To answer the question, you won't be able to play Rock Band without the microphone or one of the other instruments for the Wii.
