Yes, I collect cameos and would be interested but for the fact that the setting is damaged. The starting bid is very high for a damaged piece. Would have put the GIN at lot lower, too, because of the damage. Only a pristine piece would get me to bid this high. It is a lovely, but damaged piece. Thank you for the heads up, but at this time, I'm not interested. I will, however, be bidding on some of your other pieces.

Addendum: Everything I list is antique, vintage or pre-owned. Almost all of these items have previously had lives of their own; they have been used and loved, and may have some signs of usual wear consistent with age which add to their charm and character (not to be confused with Shabby Chic!). If you have never owned a piece of antique, vintage or pre-owned jewelry before, please keep the following things in mind: antique and vintage jewelry have been around for a long time and have been worn before. It will have patina, tarnish, maybe light scratches here and there or imperfections, all which will look larger under magnification. I will always try to describe these in my descriptions.
Antique sterling silver has a patina over it, which makes it appear darker and less flashy than modern sterling (which is usually Rhodium or Chromium plated or made with tarnish free "Argentium" (tm)) These are all signs of age and wear. The Patinas and tarnishes can be polished off, but I generally leave such items in their original condition.
In sum, Antique and vintage jewelry will not look the same as a brand new piece of jewelry; it has a charm and character appreciated and loved by some & not by others. Everyone that loves jewelry has a special something that attracts them to a piece like a bee to honey. If you look at a piece of jewelry, and it makes you smile, BID! Thanks again for looking!
