no you do not need to have pay pal but it does make it faster for people to pay you and also insures them that if you do not send them the item they can request a refund back thru pay pal. it is also a faster way for you to get paid and you can then get the item shipped to them in the required time allowed to you. hope this answers your question and welcome to Listia steve

Yeah well I was hoping to get away from the greedy son's on here! They shut me down for selling football jerseys that they said weren't authentic & I have never been able to resolve it. That was 2 years ago! So if not PayPal then how would you receive payment for shipping? I tried to verify my bank account but it said I must sign up for PayPal. Kinda confused

Steve's been pretty straight with you on everything, but I wouldn't do shipping. Your bids would drop drastically. If you want to keep the bids up and charge shipping, offer free shipping when they use GIN. That why it entices people to use the GIN. To bad about PayPal, but with out it Money Order is the best way to go.
