I just love this ring, but, I want to earn credits for gifts for my family. It is a big ring under a full inch tall. It is marked inside the band size 7. It is a roomy size 7 but not even close to a 7.5. The ring is very heavy and cannot ever be bent or dented including the thick band. The amethyst is large just under 3/8" wide and faceted both on the surface and underneath. I purchased the ring from an estate in southern California and was told a jeweler had commented on what a well cut stone this was. The amethyst is a genuine stone and is not worn, scratched, or feathering and the ring is solid sterling silver and marked 925 with a jewelers hallmark and CHINA. The gold vermeil is very heavy and not worn through to the silver anywhere including the edges. It is a vintage ring with ever so slight signs of usage. I know you will love it as much as I have!
