The listing, WWII German Reichsadler Metal Eagle Insignia has ended.

Up for bid is a really large and heavy WW2 German eagle insignia. This plaque is 7 inches tall by 9 inches wide!!! It is made of cast metal and is heavy. The wing is broken off on one side but I think it could be fixed. I don't believe it is authentic but I am not completely sure. I found it in an old barn hanging on the wall. It broke when I removed it. Either way it is a real interesting item and would look great in any WW2 collection!!! Any questions please feel free to ask!!!! Thanks a lot and happy bidding!!!! Adam

this is an interesting piece indeed. ill keep my eye on it, i have a German bloodline. So to see this piece, surface like this well...lets just say my great grandfather was a German Brigadier General. And he has pasted away now, but i have all of his war medal, and stuff

yes it is a replica of a NAZI office or commandants propaganda shield.
originals were either aluminum or bronze, some were cast iron, but they are rare.
also originals were much crisper in their detail and always had NADA marks on the back. (office of official distributors, so tha the proper fees could be collected for manufacturing the item),

Its a very clean break. You cant tell its broken when you put the wing back on. I took some close ups of the break. Its an easy fix to make it look nice. Thanks a lot! Adam
