FREE: Antique Gold Locket, With an Old Picture

This is a beautiful old locket. It is not marked any where that I can find, but it looks like the real thing to me, but I am not a jeweler either. So we have to assume that it is costume.

it has a 24" chain that has the old spring clasp also. It is a nice chain, sturdy, but not too heavy. It is monogrammed in a highly decorative font, I think it reads R M K. At least that is what my expert said, (my daughter) lol.

I have had it about 7 years or so, don't know if it was in my mother's things or purchased in a lot from ebay, years ago.

I love the sweet little girl in the picture. It comes out easily we found when we were looking for a mark, but I left it in because she is so adorable and someone loved her so much to put her picture in a locket. Wish this piece could talk and tell it's story, but I will have to be satisfied with weaving a story of my own to go with it.
