It does work! I'm just used to doing it my old fashioned way ... sometimes the older we get, the harder it is to change :) lol

1 lb or basically one small box of pasta. All of the directions for the different types of pasta are given for 1 lb of pasta. I wouldn't use more than that or you risk it not cooking thoroughly.
