The listing, Vintage Christmas gift tags has ended.

This is a set of four vintage Christmas tags in their original packaging. The tags are in great shape; the cellophane has a tear in the upper right corner. The tags measure about 3.5 inches by 1.5 inches.

To give you some idea of the age, this set of tags originally sold for five cents.

These tags, with their jolly telephoning Santa, will jazz up any Christmas present—or use them in scrapbooking, card making, or other art or craft projects.

Are they adhesive or string kind or?

There's no adhesive and no hole for string (but you could make your own hole). The gift tags are printed on a smooth cardstock. If I had to guess, I'd say they're from the fifties, but I don't know for sure.
